Daniel Nicholas Corbin, 79, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Diane Helen Wright Corbin, died Thursday, May 31, 2018. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, 6650 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Daniel was born March 10, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of the late Nicholas Corbin and the late Mary Hudak Corbin. He was an architectural hardware consultant and was a former employee of Bird Sales and Butler Hardware. Daniel was a private pilot, pilot instructor and avid Steelers fan. He also enjoyed working on puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, two daughters, Kaye Brown (Adrian) of Summerville, SC, and Kim Grissom (Dana) of Round O, SC; one son, Richard Cheshire (Robin) of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Gary Corbin (Maria) of Pittsburgh, PA; three sisters, Alverine Rosol and Maryann Corbin of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lori Kidd (Greg) of Rialto, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Thomas Corbin, and sister, Ellie Jones.
