Daniel Dale Bliss, 72, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Gwendolyn Shaw Bliss entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Due to the health and safety of all, his services will be held at a future date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Danny was born September 6, 1948 in Elkland, Pennsylvania, son of the late Mahlon Glenn Bliss and Onlee Kilburn Bliss. He worked as a Painter and Sandblaster for Phillips Industrial Services 24 years, until complications from Parkinson's Disease forced him to retire. Danny faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force for six years during the Vietnam War. He was a long-standing member of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina - Etiwan Lodge No. 95 AFM of Mount Pleasant, as well as the Omar Shrine Temple.
He is survived by Gwen, his loving wife of 51 years; one daughter, Amy D. Bliss; two grandchildren, Brandon D. Hicks and Stacy Brooke Reule; three brothers, Forrest "Thumper" (Donna) Bliss, Robert (Jackie) Bliss and Timothy Bliss; many nieces, nephew and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings; Butch, Eddie, Michael and Mary.
