Cynthia Tucker Lipman

Cynthia Tucker Lipman, 80, formerly of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Her graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 in the Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville) at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Cindy was born April 26, 1942 in Charlton, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Robert Franklin Tucker and Rebecca LaPointe. She is survived by her sister, Judith Blodgett; and brother, Robert “Bud” Tucker.

Cindy became a single parent at a young age with three young children. She put herself through nursing school in order to give her family a better life. She eventually moved everyone to Charleston and after a period of time she met, fell in love, and married the love of her life Wilfred. When her grandchildren arrived, they enjoyed the adventures they had with their Memè and Poppy. Memè loved baking, and she passed that love along to all her children, grandchildren and even her great grandchildren. She spent her career as a recovery room nurse and then helping others with their final journey as a hospice nurse.

In the last years of her life, she developed Alzheimer’s, this robbed her from us. We have missed her for a long time. She is now in heaven with Wilfred, laughing and happy!

In addition to her siblings, Cindy is survived by her daughters, Jinni Lee Wilberding (Mark) and Jill Authier-Camilletti (Mark); and son, Pierre H Authier Jr (Tracie). She is also survived by the joys of her life: her seven grand and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Cindy is also preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred E. Lipman.

Memorial donations may be made in Cindy honor to Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke, Virginia; BSBI Synagogue in Charleston, South Carolina; or to Alzheimer’s research.
