Cynthia Ann Beardsley, 59, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Darryl Joseph Beardsley, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 6, 2023. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at St. Andrews Church 440 Whilden Street Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Cindy was born on November 21, 1963, in Denver, Colorado, daughter of Marianne McNatt Lebel and the late Thomas Jess Lebel. She graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton, CO, and then graduated from Colorado State University in 1986. Cindy was in the Miss America pageant system, and was Miss Littleton, CO, Miss Denver County, and Miss Mesquite, TX. Cindy was a Flight Attendant for American Airlines for nine years until she found her true calling as a stay-at-home mom caring for her family, which was most important to her.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Lauren of Greenville, SC; her son, Thomas of Charleston, SC; and her brother, Dan Lebel of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by many loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Cindy had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world, and her warmth and positivity inspired others to see the good in life. She was known for her Southern hospitality: she was an excellent cook, a gracious hostess, and a woman with many God-given talents. More than this, however, was that she had a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and understood. She had the voice of an angel and laughter that was filled with sunshine.
While her passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her, we take comfort in her strong faith and in the knowledge of her eternal peace in heaven. Her spirit will live on in the memories she created and in the love she gave so freely.
