Coye Fairchild Riley, age 85, of Hanahan, SC, widow of Jack W. Riley died October 19, 2014. Her funeral service will be held October 21, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, at 12:00 noon. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends October 20, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.
Coye was born March 17, 1929 in Meridian, MS, daughter of the late Robert C. Fairchild and the late Eva Chrystell McCaskill Fairchild. She was a former secretary at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., the author of the book, "Show Me the Way". She was a member of Portside Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star Chapter #250. Coye enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, fishing, playing bunko, cards, and singing at the Senior Center in Hanahan, SC.
She is survived by: two sons, Jack Michael Riley (Denise) of Goose Creek, SC, Rev. Robert Eugene Riley of Jacksonville, NC, and one daughter, Sharon Riley French (Daryl) of Goose Creek, SC. One sister, Carolyn F. Byrd (Al) of Charleston, SC and eight grandchildren: Shawn M. Riley of Charleston, SC, Rev. Ryan Riley (Mandy) of Danville, VA, Bryan Riley (Chamie) of Norfolk, VA, Heather Lewis (James) of Goose Creek, SC, Russell Riley (Kelly) of Jamestown, NC and Rev. Ross Riley (Erin) of Danville, VA, Megan Sprague, Olivia Ping Laird all of Goose Creek, SC; (9) great-grandchildren, Nicholas Limehouse Riley, Ethan & Aaron Riley, Cameron & Hunter Lewis, Hannah, Jesse, and Rachel Brownell, and Katherine Grace Riley.
