Corlis N. Edmonds, 85, of Charleston, SC, wife of James Richard Edmonds, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Her graveside service will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
Corlis was born July 19, 1936 in Albany, Georgia, daughter of the late Clarence Nobles and Ladessa Simone Nobles. She was an active member of Carolina Bay Church and volunteered for many community causes. Volunteering and dancing were two of the many things she enjoyed. Throughout her professional life, she worked for Edward Hagan and Darby Development.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by her son, Kenneth Nelson (Lynn); sister, Shannon Faulkner (Rick); grandchildren, David Nelson and Kerri Ann Nelson; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Nelson Cush.
