Corey Tyler Blizard, 28, of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 27, 2026. His funeral service will be held Sunday, May 3 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel. 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston at 2PM. His visitation will be held Saturday, May 2nd from 6PM-8PM.
Corey was born on December 6, 1997, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Thomas B. Blizard III and Tara Lynn Terrell. He was a lead CAD technician at Atlas. Corey was an Eagle Scout and member of the order of the arrow for Boyscouts of America. He was a Cadet Lieutenant Colonelas a squadron commander for AFJROTC at James Island Charter High School. He was also part of the engineering team.
Corey was the most fun, generous and intelligent man. He loved his family and friends very much. Corey had a gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. He was an animal dad to his dog Raven and two cats Gunter and Artemis. On Saturdays Corey led a Bible study group with friends and family. In his free time, he loved gaming, writing poetry, music, hunting, fishing, sporting clays and comics. Corey used to say, “if you’re sad, remember sad spelled backwards is “das” and das not good.”
He is survived by his mother, Tara (Joseph) Terrell; his father, Thomas B. Blizard III (Lana); his siblings, Cayce Blizard (Sarah) and their children, Bryson, Maggie and Calvin; Joshua Blizard (Daisy) and their child, Lucas; Jeremy Blizard (Arizona) and their child, Maverick; Emma Blizard (Brice); Hayden Terrell and her children, Lynleigh and Mattie Mae; and his grandfather, Thomas B. Blizard II.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Hunter Hughes; his maternal grandparents Thomas Gill and Harriett Gill; and his paternal grandmother, Margaret Blizard.
