Copelan Dewell "Copey" Roberts

Copelan Dewell "Copey" Roberts, 54, of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 18, 2016. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Copey was born February 3, 1962 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Orville E. Roberts and Maggie White Roberts. He was a lifelong resident of Johns Island, and loved the Lowcountry. Copey was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, and enjoyed training dogs. He loved hosting family and friends every Saturday for SEC football games, where he was known to be a proud supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a great supporting father to his daughters in all that they chose to do.

He is survived by his two daughters, Chelsea Roberts, and Katie Roberts both of Charleston, SC; brother, Lorren Roberts (Debby) of Cape Coral, FL; sister, Charmaine Bennett of Wadmalaw Island, SC; sister-in-law, Kathy Roberts of Johns Island, SC. Copey was preceded in death by his two brothers, Duey Roberts, and Elton Roberts.
