Connie Fipps, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Ellen Elizabeth Fipps entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 3, 2015. His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Stono Baptist Church, 953 Main Road at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.

Connie was born August 31, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Barney Lee Fipps and Hazel Hickman Fipps. He was a automotive mechanic, and enjoyed remote control boats, woodworking, and spending time with family. He was a member of Stono Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Fipps; ten children, Joanna Shephard of Johns Island, SC, Joseph Fipps (Jackie) of Johns Island, SC; Kevin Fipps (Karen) of Charleston, SC, James Fipps of Johns Island, SC, Mark Fipps of James Island, SC, Matthew Fipps of Johns Island, SC, John Rivers (Whitney) of Ladson, SC, Christy Rivers of Charleston, SC, Jason Rivers (Alax) of North Carolina, and Morgan Rivers of Ravenel, SC; three brothers; seven sisters; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
