CMSgt. Carson Hopkins, USAF, Ret., 91, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Betty J. Rice Hopkins entered into eternal rest Monday, November 21, 2022. His Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:00 am.  Interment, Beaufort National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service.

Carson was born October 27, 1931 in Topmost, KY, son of the late Ishmael Hopkins and the late Luna Hopkins Combs.  He was retired from the U.S Air Force and SC Railroad.  He enjoyed traveling.  A great family man and his family meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Hopkins, two daughters, Deborah A. (Bob) Davis of Goose Creek, SC and Janey Hopkins of Houston, TX; four grandchildren: Justin Adler of Summerville, SC, Calan (Ashley) Davis of Moncks Corner, SC, Paige L. Thibodeaux (Taylor) Shouse of Austin, TX, Hayes C. (Gretchen) Thibodeaux of Houston, TX; one brother, Eddie (Virginia) Hopkins of Prestonsburg, KY; six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Yvonne Shuster; his brother Lowell Hopkins; six stepbrothers and one stepsister.
