Clytise Ailene Hester

Clytise Ailene Hester, 86, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, widow of the late Foster Harold Hester, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 15, 2022.  Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.  The family will received friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC. 

Clytise was born April 28, 1936 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, daughter of the late Thomas Emory and Mary Curry Emory.  She was a homemaker. Clytise loved spending time with her family; her favorite activity was to go camping and fishing at the River Valley Campground in Cherokee.  She also loved crafting and was accomplished at creating jewelry, sewing and crocheting, to name a few.  She was also a past member of the Highland Park Baptist Church of Hanahan.  

She is survived by a son, Foster "Bubba" Hester, Jr. (Gladys) of Moncks Corner, SC; three daughters; Katherine Brooks (Ricky) of Shreveport, LA, Denise Garvin (Michael) of Aiken, SC and Janice Lopez (Roberto) of North Charleston, SC; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Brown and one brother, Kenneth Emory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Wesley Homer "Pete" Hester, brothers, Charles and Wayne Emory and sister, Doris Alderman.
