Clyde R. Wright, Jr.

Clyde R. Wright, Jr., 95, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. His funeral will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Clyde was born March 18, 1927 in Charlotte, North Carolina, a son of the late Clyde R. Wright Sr., and the late Ethel Davis Wright. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Charleston, South Carolina. He enjoyed writing songs, playing his guitar, taking care of his garden and spending time with his best buddy, Sweet Pea.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Wright Harley and her husband Mike of Charleston, South Carolina; his daughter, Susan Thorn and her husband John of Sanford, North Carolina; his granddaughter, Lisa Jennings and her husband Dwayne of Charleston, South Carolina; his granddaughter, Shay Cargile and her husband Brad of Charleston, South Carolina; his grandson, Chad Goodman of Grayson, Georgia; his granddaughter, Renee Terrell and her husband Tracy of Braselton, Georgia; his 8 great grandchildren; his 4 great great grandchildren; his stepchildren, Linda Charbonneau and her husband Mark, Billy Buchanan and his wife Karen, Kenny Buchanan, Sue Kinnear, and Bobbie Kotchi; his 7 stepgrandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the hospice caregivers and SC House calls for the special love and care they have shown them over the past few weeks.
