Clyde Marlowe, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, husband of the late Evelyn B. Marlowe died Thursday, September 19, 2013. The funeral service will be held at the graveside, Nesmith Baptist Church, Nesmith, SC on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday at J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Clyde was born August 14, 1930 in Loris, South Carolina, son of the late GeorgeW. and Maude Barber Marlowe. He was a retired Crane Operator. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his son, Robert William Marlowe and his wife Susan of Mount Pleasant, SC; sister, Ruth Baker of Awendaw, SC; grandson, Cooper Marlowe of Columbia, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of Charleston, 4975 Lacross Road, Ste 200, North Charleston,SC and or East Cooper Meals on Wheels, 2304 U.S. 17, Mount Pleasant SC, 29466.
