Clinton Angela Dawson Jarrett, 64, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Brice "Gene" E. Jarrett died Monday, August 5, 2013. A Memorial Prayer Service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Saint John Catholic Church, 3921 St. Johns Avenue, at 2:00 pm. Clinton was born January 10, 1949 in Charleston, South Carolina, the daughter of the late John E. Dawson and the late Eulalie Jones Dawson. She was an Automobile Industry Warranty Administrator and a former member of St. John Catholic Church; member of the Atlanta Shag Club, Charleston Shag Club and the North Myrtle Beach Shag Club. In 2000, she was inducted to the Living Legend's Hall of Fame.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gene Jarrett of North Charleston, SC; daughters, Melissa (Bret) McCrory of Summerville, SC, Tammie Jarrett (Mark) Silorski of Atlanta, GA; sons, Harry (Jennifer) Evans of North Charleston, SC, Kenneth (Melanie) Evans of Summerville, SC; brother, John E. Dawson, Jr. of Charleston, SC; sisters, Virginia Henderson of Canton, GA, Barbara Dawson of Summerville, SC; eight grandchildren, Kaitlyn Evans, Courtney Evans, Joseph Evans, Robert Evans, Dawson Evans, Brooke McCrory, Bailey McCrory, Brett McCrory; a great-granddaughter, Addyson Evans and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Saint John Catholic Church, 3921 St. Johns Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405 in lieu of flowers.
