Clifford Ray Chance

Clifford Ray Chance, 58, of Summerville, SC, husband of Diane Chance entered into eternal rest Friday, March 15, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens.. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Ray, affectionately known as Ray-Boy, was born April 12, 1954 in Charleston, SC, son of Lila Cantley Chance and the late Harvey C. Chance. He was a welder for 45 years having worked at GARCO, the former Charleston Naval Shipyard and most recently Carolina Contracting Solutions. He was an avid hunter and a member of Canton Creek Hunt Club.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Chance of Summerville; son, William Dale Chance of Sumter, SC; daughter, Tamara Denise Arndt (Eric) of Myrtle Beach SC; daughter, Michelle Chance Legette (David)of St. George, SC; mother, Lila Elizabeth Chance of Hanahan; brother, Samuel Lee Chance (Lynne)of Holly Hill, SC; sister, Annette Chance Bolt of Hanahan; half brother, Jimmy Chance (Jackie) of Harleyville, SC; grandchildren, Hunter Legette and Camryn Legette, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and half sister Jackie Murdaugh.
