Clifford Wallace Bath, Jr., 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Frances Bath entered into eternal rest Monday, February 5, 2024. His Graveside service with Army honors will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. The family will have a Celebration of Life Service in Harborview Presbyterian Church, 900 Harborview Rd at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Clifford was born September 6, 1945 in Hemingway, South Carolina, son of Clifford Wallace Bath, Sr. and Richiedean Landress Bath. He worked as an Electronic Technician at the Charleston Shipyard until its closing, then worked at SPAWAR until his Retirement in 2000. Clifford retired as a Colonel from the US Army Reserve after 39 years of service. After his retirement he and Frances hitched up the camper and visited 46 states total with many tennis matches along the way.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances; son, Kenneth William Bath; two sisters, Elaine B Simpson, Robin Dean Easterby; three brothers, Sanford Daniel Bath, Richard Eugene Bath, James Harold Bath; three grandchildren, Rylee Cora Bath, Clifford Wallace Bath IV, McKinley Mae Bath. He was predeceased by his son, Clifford Wallace Bath III.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Harborview Presbyterian Church, Alzheimer's Association, 884 Allbritton Blvd Suite 115, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464 or to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Rd, Charleston, SC 29412.
