Claudia Pinckney Yon

Entered into Heaven on the morning of October 25, 2010, Claudia Pinckney Yon, widow of Joel Cecil Yon.  Residence, North Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday, October 29, 2010, at eleven o'clock.  Interment, Riverview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel this Thursday from five until seven.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinecrest Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1285 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC  29407.

Mrs. Yon was born on May 19, 1924 in St. Stephen, South Carolina to the late John Dawson Pinckney and the late Minnie Locklair Pinckney.  She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and was a retired Budget Analyst with the Comptroller Department at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

Surviving are two sons, Joel Dawson Yon, Sr. and his wife Patricia of Eutawville, SC and Barry Pinckney Yon of Charleston; a grandson, Joel D. Yon, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Moncks Corner; and a sister, Anne P. Faucette of Charleston.
