Clarence Vernon Tisdale, 91, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, April 1, 2018. His funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.

Clarence was born August 13, 1926 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Clarence Tisdale and the late Annie L. Jackson Tisdale. He a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII and was a retired Oil Dispatcher. He was a life long Mason with the Dorchester Lodge.

He is survived by four children: Kathryn T. Day of Summerville, SC, Robert Tisdale (Debra) of Newport, NC, Terri Register (Larry)of Summerville, SC and Melanie T. Whitten (Chris) of Charlotte, NC; brother, Ernest Tisdale of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren: Courtney Whitten, Ashley Day (Brian Nolan), Whitney Limehouse, Erin Anders (Elliot Anders), Haley Fletcher (Jon), Leigh Scovill (Matt), Lindsay Diaz; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, beloved wife, Gloria Helen Hughes Tisdale and son-in-law, Daniel Day.
