Clarence Earl Priester

December 24, 1925 — February 14, 2011

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of February 14, 2011 Clarence Earl Priester, Jr., husband of Mary "Merle" Lewis Priester.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Priester are invited to attend his graveside service Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. with military honors.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. 


Mr. Priester was born December 24, 1925 in Bamberg, South Carolina, son of the late Clarence Earl Priester, Sr. and the late Elise Wall Priester Jordan.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II and retired from Westvaco Timberland Division.  Mr. Priester was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church.


He is survived by his wife Merle Priester of Charleston; and his son, Kenneth E. Priester of Charleston.  Mr. Priester was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Priester.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 134 Bells Highway, Walterboro, SC  29488.
