Clarence John Myers

Clarence 'Clancy' John Myers Jr., 86, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Vivian Mathews Parker Myers entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 16, 2013. A cryptside funeral service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Hillcrest Abbey East, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404 at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends this Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston. Clancy was born November 15, 1926 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, son of the late Clarence Myers and Susan Kanotz Myers. He was a WWII and Vietnam veteran and retired from the US Air Force with 30 years of service. After his retirement he was employed as a charter pilot with Hawthorne Aviation and was a flight instructor at the AERO Club. He also was a member of Solomons Masonic Lodge #1 and Georgia Chapter #3 F.A.M. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Myers; 3 sons: Allen W. (Roberta) Myers of Del City, OK, Robert J. (Robin) Myers of Ridgeville, SC, and Michael H. (Stephanie) Myers of Summerville, SC; brother, William Myers of Alaska; step-daughter, Susan P. (Nathan) Sullivan of N. Charleston; step-sons; William D. (Denise) Parker of Shelton, WA, and Mark Z. Parker of Ladson, SC; grandchildren: Shannon M. Maloy, Savannah L. Myers, Brennen M. Myers, Carter J. Myers, 10 other grandchildren and16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Ann Myers and his sister, Sylvia Mach.
