Clarence "Clancey" Lee Bowick

Clarence Lee Bowick also known as Clancey, 71, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Elizabeth Acklin Bowick entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 18, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Clarence was born October 23, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Emmett William Bowick and Eve Bowick. He was in Media Advertising for over 30 years and owner operator of Charleston Hospitality & Marketing. Throughout his career he meet alot of interesting characters. After his retirement he started the Spanish Ministry on the Sea Islands and introduced Christ to a number of people.

He is survived by the love of his life wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Acklin Bowick of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Constance Ann Murray (Dean) of Isle of Palms, SC, Dana Elizabeth Brawdy of James Island, SC, Greta L. Cox of Mount Pleasant, SC; two sons, Brian Clarence Bowick of James Island, SC, Brady Emmett Bowick of James Island, SC; six grandchildren, Wyatt Lee Garey, Matthew and Morgan Cox, Eve Marie Hennigar (Chase), Kyla Bowick, Haley Bowick; brother, Reverend Donald E. Bowick (Madeline) of Summerville, SC.
