Clarence was born October 2, 1947 in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Clarence Edward Brownlee Sr. and Audrey Crawford Brownlee.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Brownlee Collins of Ravenel, SC; son-in-law, Lawrence Anderson Collins of Ravenel, SC; son, Owen Edward Brownlee of Ravenel, SC; and grandchildren, McKenzie Marie Corbin and Riggs Anderson Collins.
