Clarence Earl "Mike" Bennett, 85, of Yonges Island, South Carolina, widower of Elizabeth "Bette" Hayes Bennett entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 10, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013, in the J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 11:00 am. Burial to follow with Military Honors in Christ - St. Paul's Cemetery, 5034 Chapel Road, Yonges Island. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Mike was born May 2, 1927 in Milton, Massachusetts, son of the late Nelson Bennett and Wilemina Simpson Bennett. He was retired from the United States Navy and was a retired Electronic Technician with Navlex. He is survived by his two sons, Scott (Donna) Bennett of Oak Island, NC, Craig Bennett of Charleston; three daughters, Beth (Eddie) Meree of Charleston, Lise (Richard Frank) Dahlman of Ravenel, Dawn (Harold) McMillan of Charleston; nine grandchildren, Scott Bennett, Marc Bennett, Geoffrey Bennett, Katie McGauley, Ian Meree, Kyle Dahlman, Reed McMillan, Bennett McMillan, Evan McMillan; and 11 great-grandchildren.
