Clara McGrew Wilkinson

Clara McGrew Wilkinson, 96, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Frank Wilkinson died Sunday, December 9, 2018. The family will receive friends Monday, December 17, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Her funeral service will follow in the Mount Pleasant Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road.

Clara was born September 3, 1922 in St. George, South Carolina, one of eleven children of the late Ireland Omega McGrew and the late Catherine Lenola Blewer McGrew. She retired from MUSC where she was recognized by Dr. James Edwards for the most volunteer hours. She was a dedicated Christian and loved the Lord. Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Reeves of Mount Pleasant, SC, Sandra Harmon of James Island, SC and Vickie Ogletree of Charleston, SC; two sons, Frank M. Wilkinson, Jr. (Paula) of Summerville, SC and Darrell Wilkinson (Julie) of Awendaw, SC; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter.
