Clara Lee Tuttle Taylor

Clara Lee Tuttle Taylor, 75, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Carlisle Taylor died Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Clara was born June 17, 1940 in Dorchester, South Carolina, daughter of the late Daylin Santo Tuttle and the late Annie Melissa Stephens Tuttle. She was a Bookkeeper and worked for many years in the lunch counter of Pitts Street Pharmacy. Clara loved to fish and cook and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Carlisle Taylor and Randy Taylor, both of Mount Pleasant, SC; granddaughter, Sarah J. Taylor and grandson, Richard "Ricky" C. Taylor, Jr.; two sisters, Margaret Prescott (Ray) and Joyce Green (Glenn), both of St. George, SC and one brother, Billy Tuttle (Brenda) of St. George, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daylin Bubba Tuttle.
