Clara Benelli Depasquale

Clara Benelli DePasquale, 100, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on the morning of May 31, 2010. The relatives and friends of Clara DePasquale are invited to attend her Memorial Service in St. Andrew's Church of Mt. Pleasant on Friday, June 4, 2010 at two o'clock. Interment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Mrs. DePasquale was born November 11, 1909 in Firenze, Italy to the late Alessandro Benelli and Ada Danti Benelli.  Clara was "born into music" as her father was an accomplished conductor and composer in Florence, Italy.  Clara played the organ for 25 years at the Dutch Reform Church. She also taught piano in her Mt. Pleasant home studio, which produced several orchestras' worth of students throughout her 76 year long career.

She is survived by her son John DePasquale of Paramus, NJ, a cousin, Ettore " Reno" Bianchi of Dobbs Ferry, NY. Clara is preceded in death by her husband John DePesquale.
