Clara Metts Amundson

Clara Metts Amundson, 78, of North Charleston, SC, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center, Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Born in Charleston, SC she was the daughter of Rolin Metts and Mamie Myrtle Troublefield Metts.  She retired from the Charleston Police Department as an Adminitrative Coordinator. She continued to work with various agencies as an administrative coordinator for government and department of defense contracts.

Ms. Amundson is survived by her daughter, Laneda Carpenter of Whitehall, MT, grandson, Alfred Paul Venancio III, and wife Lisa Schilb Venancio and great grandchildren, Carter Paul Venancio and Colin Matthew Venancio of Charlotte, NC.

The family will have a gathering of friends and family in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 noon.  The burial will be private.
