On May 14, 2017, Cindy L. Young "LuLu", 61, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with Lung Cancer.
The family would like to express our sincerest thanks for the wonderful help and support given by Lutheran Hospice of Mt. Pleasant.
Cindy was born on December 19, 1955 in Langen, Germany. She was married to Gerry E. Young, Jr. on July 03, 1975 and celebrated 42 years of blissful marriage. Cindy worked at Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union for 30 years and retired as a Vice President.
Cindy is survived by her loving husband, her daughter Nikki Young, her son Gerry Young III and his wife Ali Young, her granddaughter Isabella Young, her mother Marlene Oliver, sister Jonnie Downey, brother Tony Oliver and respected families, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday May 20, 2017 at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston SC from 10am - 1pm (drop-in). As a last request, Cindy wanted her friends and family to celebrate her by wearing bright attire.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, friends may make a memorial donation in support of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life through Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union. Donations are accepted at any branch or through the call center in memory of Cindy L. Young.
Cindy will be greatly missed by friends and family.
