Christopher "Chris" L. Navin, 51, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Cindy Johnson Navin, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 25, 2021. Due to the health and safety of all, a Celebration of Life will be held by his family at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Chris was born October 10, 1969 in Elmira, New York, son of John J. Navin and Carol MacKenzie Navin. His most recent occupation was in home remodeling and prior to that, he enjoyed using his creativity as a jeweler for over 20 years. He was a Jack of All Trades and a master of all, as failure just wasn't an option. If he didn't know how to do something, he would pour himself into research and learning until it was accomplished. Chris was an avid fisherman as well as a sailor. Being a "water boy", he loved anything to do with being on the water. He would often sail with his father and family, but also raced with friends; he even placed in a Charleston Race Week event. He was a giver and not a taker. He would give the shirt off his back for family, friends or even strangers - although, you would often hear that he was a stranger to nobody. He would sell himself short, if it meant meeting the needs of others. Above all, Chris was a family man and he lived and breathed for his wife and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Cindy; two sons, Chris and Caleb Navin; two brothers, Craig "Skip" (Teresa) Navin and Scott (Teri) Navin; four nieces and nephews, Scotty, Kenya, CJ and Brad.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made in Chris' name to the American Heart Assoc. of SC Memorial Processing Center, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA, 23060.
