Christopher Lee Faulk, 46, of Charleston, South Carolina, beloved husband of Elizabeth Heilig Faulk and devoted father of Thompson Lee Faulk, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at 2378 Brevard Road. His memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Old St. Andrews Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Road, with a reception to follow. Arrangements are by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.
Chris was born on October 11, 1979, in West Memphis, Arkansas, the son of Bruce Faulk and Cindy Bateson. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a master’s degree in counseling from Webster University. His lifelong passion for helping others led him to a career serving his community as a vocational counselor and mental health therapist.
Chris was a consummate hobbyist and maker of all things. He was especially fond of cooking, particularly barbecue, along with fermentation and pickling projects, brewing beer, and making cheese. Always eager to learn, Chris was continually taking on new challenges, whether pickleball, golf, boating, or mastering a new culinary skill.
Chris’s son, Thompson, was the absolute light of his life and brought him immeasurable joy. Chris cherished every moment spent with his wife and son and was never happier than when the three of them were together exploring Charleston, sharing everyday adventures, and simply being a family. He proudly married into LSU fandom and wholeheartedly embraced the purple and gold alongside those he loved. A deeply devoted and loving husband, father, son, uncle, neighbor, and friend, Chris was a kind, thoughtful, and generous man who brought light, love, a genuine smile, and homemade goods to everyone he met.
In addition to his wife, son, and parents, Chris is survived by his beloved dog and constant companion, Hamilton; his grandmother, Doris Faulk of Midland, Texas; his brother, Brian Faulk of Atlanta, Georgia; his uncle, Paul Faulk of Houston, Texas; his sister-in-law, Rebecca Lira (Mathew) of Alexandria, Virginia; his nephew, Paul Lira; and his parents-in-law, Paul and Elizabeth (“Betty”) Heilig of Beaufort, South Carolina.
Memorials may be made to Old St. Andrews Parish Church or to Pet Helpers Adoption Center.
