Christopher Gregory Blackwell, 59, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 1, 2026. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel. 1491 Mathis Ferry Rd. Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Christopher was born December 11, 1966, in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended Wando High School and First Baptist where he played Basketball. He was a natural born caregiver ranging from paraplegics to his own grandmother. He was a skilled carpenter and musician, playing many instruments.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Erin Basha of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, Ronald Dean Blackwell (Pauline) of Huger, SC; nephew, Tyler Zane Blackwell of Piedmont, SC; three step-brothers, Paul Basha (Sarah) of Rock Hill, SC, Don Basha (Kathy) of Greenville, SC, and Mike Basha (Sharron) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and aunt, Pat Ward of Charleston, SC.
