Christine Claire Chapman

Christine Claire (Tina) Chapman, 54, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 26, 2012. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Tina was born October 7, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Ashley Augustus Chapman and the late Ruby Frances Reaves Chapman. She was employed as a fiscal analyst at the Medical University of South Carolina.

She is survived by her father, Ashley Augustus Chapman of Columbia, SC; her aunt: Ann Reaves Commins of Meggett, SC and uncle: Ray R. Chapman, Charleston, SC & many loving cousins; and longtime special friends, Jane & Bill Sullivan, Sylvia & C.J. McCarthy and Judith Wilbanks.

Tina had a special love for wild things in nature. A hummingbird stayed late one autumn and Tina made a little box with soft things and placed it in a safe place behind her house. It survived the winter with her help. A beautiful Ruby throated hummingbird as a companion for a beautiful compassionate lady.

She received many blessings from her many walks on Morris Island.
