Christine Cox Chandler

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 29, 2010, Christine Cox Chandler, widow of Chief Warrant Officer Harold M. Chandler.  Residence, Charleston, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Monday, November 1, 2010, at two o'clock.  Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Monday from twelve-thirty until time of service.  Memorials may be made to Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road, Charleston, SC  29407.

Mrs. Chandler was born on November 13, 1919 in Lumberton, North Carolina, daughter to the late David and Sallie Singletary Cox.  She was a retired Supervisor with the Charleston Naval Supply Center, member of Charleston Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan Cochran of Charleston; three grandchildren, Shawn Patrick Cochran and wife Lisa, Master Sergeant Christopher Lee Cochran, USMC and wife Jennifer, and Devin C. Dukes and wife Madeline all of Charleston; and five great grandchildren, Christen, Noah, Kennedy, Campbell, Devin, Jr.  Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by a step daughter, Sandra C. Dukes and a brother and sister.
