Christena "Tena" Arlene Mitchell, 33, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Rd. at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Tena was born June 28, 1983 in Savannah, Georgia, daughter of Timothy Paul Mitchell and Mary Kathaleen Gatch Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, her step-father, Roger Smith and her step-mother, Vanessa Mitchell, she is survived by three brothers, Timothy A. (Heather) Mitchell, Paul E. Mitchell, Michael D. (Amy) Smith; sister, Kristen L. Smith; three nephews, Brandon P. Mitchell, Evan and Corbin Tomlinson; two nieces, Katelyn Mitchell and Elysa Tomlinson; three aunts, Sandra Spruill (Clyde), Lanora Rogers (Rocky), Winnie Corbin (David); three uncles, Rodney Parson (Carolyn), Thomas Parson (Patty), Howard Gatch (Donna) , and many cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Gatch, Sr., three uncles, Connie Parson, Gerald Parson and Jimmy Parson; three aunts, Frances Blackwell, Linda Dillon and Bethany Brickle.
