Cherie Bailey Mcdaniel

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of June 17, 2011, Cherie Bailey McDaniel, wife of Douglas E. McDaniel.  Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McDaniel are invited to attend her funeral service in Charleston Baptist Church, Monday, June 20, 2011, at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Sunday from 4 until 6 pm.

Cherie was born on August 19, 1927 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Gary Bailey and the late Rachel Rebecca Craven McDaniel.  She was a retired Real Estate Broker, charter member of Charleston Baptist Church and member of Charleston Realtors Association.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years; a son, Stuart G. McDaniel of Charleston; two sisters, Theresa Graham of Charleston and Jo Ann Martin and her husband Lee of Virginia Beach, VA; a brother, William G. Bailey of Columbia, SC; three nephews and two nieces.  Cherie was preceded in death by a son, Stephen D. McDaniel.
