Charlotte Mae Wilson

June 6, 1934 — February 13, 2013

Charlotte Mae Armour Wilson went to be with her LORD and Master on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She passed on at her residence in West Ashley surrounded by her family.Charlotte was born in Mobile, AL on June 6, 1934, the daughter of Charles Edward Armour and Rosie Lee Simmons Armour. She became a Christian at the age of 12. Her passion in life was to serve her LORD and Master, to care for her children and grandchildren, and help the elderly and underprivileged. She served as a church pianist in Mobile and served in the 3 year old nursery for many years. She worked in Bible School and other areas of Christian service. She retired from the Medical University of SC Dept. of Public Safety after 27 years of service. She was active in local GOP politics and served as Vice-Chairperson of the Chas. County Republican Party. She also served on the State Federation of GOP Women, and President of the West Ashley GOP Ladies Club. She was a member of Northbridge Baptist Church.She truly blessed the lives of many and was thought of as an Angel and Saint by many that were touched by her life.Her family would like to thank her caregivers, friends, and church family that loved and supported her throughout her illness.She is survived by her 3children, Cynthia Hawkins (Arlan) of Greenville, SC, David Ray Wilson and Charles Wilson both of Charleston, SC; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Nicole Hawkins, Arlan Glenn Hawkins II, and Jacob Thaddeus Wilson; 1 brother, Selden Armour of Mobile, AL. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Hilton Wilson and one sister, Rosemary Braden. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 in Northbridge Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements made by J.
