Charlotte Carol Powell, 76, of Stephens City, Virginia, wife of John William Powell, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 11, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Her funeral will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 in the West Ashley Chapel at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Charlotte was born August 20, 1947 in Brunswick, Georgia, daughter of the late Waver James Gay and Ruby Kathryn Head Gay Nelson. Charlotte valued charity work and was a dedicated volunteer with Lovely Hearts Animal Rescue in Frederick, Maryland. She was also an honorary member of Pro Football's Ultimate Fan Association. Charlotte will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and caregiver to many.

In addition to her husband, Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Christie Lynne Powell Lopez (Chris); brother-in-law, Donald Powell; aunt, Jo Long; and niece, Kathie Basten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold Edward Powell.
