Charlotte McCrady Hastie, 94, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of C. Norwood Hastie, Jr. entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Her Funeral Service will be held at the graveside in St. Philip's Episcopal Churchyard, 142 Church Street Friday, October 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at her residence, 74 South Battery, Thursday between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Charlotte was born April 24, 1918 in Montreal, Canada, daughter of Louis deBerniere McCrady and Eleanor Ramsey Laurens McCrady of Charleston, SC. She was a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, the Ladies Benevolent Society and the National Society of the Colonial Dames in the State of South Carolina. Having studied at the Peabody Institute, she was an active supporter of local art and music organizations.

She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Hastie Parker and her husband Louis of Charleston, SC. She was predeceased by her son, C. Norwood Hastie, III.
