Charlotte Barry Cairns

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of March 30, 2011, Charlotte E. Cairns, wife of Hugh E. Cairns. Residence, Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh E. Cairns are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter, Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 am in James Island Presbyterian Church.  Interment, Churchyard.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Friday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.

Mrs. Cairns was born May 25, 1924, in Dorchester County, SC, the daughter of Louis Clifton "L.C." Berry and Essie Inabinett Berry.  She was a Classified Specialist with the United States Army Intelligence. She was a former employee with the Pentegon, a member of the DAV, Auxiliary, and member of The Grey Ladies. 

She is survived by her husband of Charleston, SC; son: Hugh E. Cairns, Jr. of Charleston, SC; sister: Ruby B. Dunbar of Charleston, SC; brother T.P. Berry of Reevesville, SC.
