Charlie Lee Cease

June 13, 1929 — November 22, 2014

Charlie L. Cease, 85, of Hanahan, SC, husband of Dorothy Cook Cease, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014. His visitation will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road. Services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014, at 2:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel. Entombment will be private.

Charlie was born June 13, 1929 in Birmingham Alabama, son of the late Marvin and Sally Cease. He was a retired homebuilder, Cease Homes and a member of the Charleston Homebuilders Association. Charlie was a devoted husband, father and a fun grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Cook Cease; daughters, Sherrie Cease and Robin Halbig (John) and son, Michael Cease, all of Charleston. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother, Carroll Cease (Dian). In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased in death by his two brothers, Bobby Gilvie Cease and Jerry W. Cease.
