Charles William Watkins

Charles "Billy" William Watkins, 69, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 28, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fort Johnson Road. The family will receive friends Saturday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Billy was born November 28, 1945 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Lamar Eartle Watkins, Sr. and Delores Cuzzell Watkins. He was a Non Destructive Tester with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the Charleston Rifle Club, and the VFW Post 10624.

He is survived by his son, Charles (Dana) William Watkins, Jr, daughter, Meg (Bryan) Hall; seven grandchildren, Gage and Chaisten Weigel, Garrett and Kiley Hall, Elizabeth Schulken, Lee Schulken, Eleanor Rose Schulken, and one, great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Thorne; three brothers, Lamar (Ryckie) Watkins of James Island, SC, Terry (Mary) Watkins of North Charleston, SC, and Buddy (Susan) Watkins of James Island, SC. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Wendy Marie Watkins Burger.
