Charles McCoy Waters, 93, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of the late Ruth N Waters, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 8, 2025. His Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Charles was born June 11, 1932 in Arapahoe, North Carolina, son of the late James McCoy Waters and Allie Mae Vendrick. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleston.

He is survived by two sons, Levi Anthony Waters and Charles McCoy Waters, Jr.; daughter, Charlene Brainerd (Web); and granddaughter, Jennifer Brainerd.
