BRYANT, CHARLES THOMAS "TOMMY"
Charles Thomas "Tommy" Bryant, husband of Margaret Buchanan Bryant of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. The relatives and friends of "Tommy" Bryant are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM in St. Michael's Church, Charleston, SC. Burial will follow in the Churchyard. The family will receive friends at 106 Sea Dog Circle, (Olde Park Subdivision) Mt. Pleasant, SC on Friday, November 4 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
"Tommy" was born September 5, 1955 in High Point, NC, son of Bette McCarter Bryant and the late Billy Thomas Bryant. He received an Associate Degree from North Greenville College and attended the College of Charleston. "Tommy" was President of Bryant Motor Company, a position which enabled him to be an impactful mentor to his friends and many within the automobile industry. A member of St. Michael's Church, Tommy enjoyed his opportunities to serve as an usher. He loved all sports especially baseball. Yet, above all, Tommy was an outstanding father and loving husband.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Buchanan Bryant of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five children, Charles Thomas Bryant, Jr. and his wife, Charlotte Long Bryant, of Carey, NC, Russell Andrew Bryant and his wife, Julie Wood Bryant, Brett Alexander Bryant, and 9 year old twins, John Clark Buchanan Bryant and Mary Ella Bryant, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his mother, Bette McCarter Bryant, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; parents-in-law, The Right Rev. and Mrs. John Buchanan of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister-in-law, Mary Ryan Buchanan of Savannah, GA; niece, Dawn Marie Bevis and her husband, Brent Bevis, of Jacksonville, FL; and great niece and nephew, Adam and Katie. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Larry Ray Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kanuga Conference Center, P.O. Box 250, Hendersonville, NC 28793-0250.
