Charles Wesley Taylor, Jr., 72, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Linda Horne Taylor passed away peacefully early Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at home with family. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Charles was born September 13, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina, at Baker Hospital, son of the late Charles Wesley Taylor, Sr. and the late Margaret Smoak Taylor. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was an avid outdoorsman. Charles loved hunting, fishing and boating in the lowcountry. He never met a stranger and spent most of his career in sales.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Taylor of Mount Pleasant, SC; daughter, Abby T. Potts (Keefe) of Charleston, SC; son, Matthew W. Taylor of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandson, Henry M. Potts of Charleston, SC. He is missed and loved by his sisters, Martha Taylor Williams (Mike), Ellen Taylor Abel (William), and Ann Taylor Crapps (Michael), all of Mount Pleasant, SC and his many nieces and nephews.
