Charles Daniel "Danny" Smith, 68, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Gloria Geiger Smith, died Friday, April 4, 2014. His memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.
Danny was born September 3, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late James Lawrence Smith, Sr.and the late Mary Barnett . He was a veteran of the USMC and retired as a General Foreman, Shop #26 at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a former welding instructor at Trident Technical College, a Mason and a member of Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Gloria Geiger Smith, SC.; two daughters, Robin Aaron and her husband, David, of Monks Corner, SC and Wendy Troquille and her husband, Tim, of Marion, TX; two brothers, James L. Smith Jr. of AL and Robert B. Smith of North Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Harlie, Daniel, Michael and Raygen; and four great-grandchildren, Landon, Phaylan, Dominick and Baker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 and or The Susan G. Komen Foundation, 9300 Medical Plaza Drive Suite F, North Charleston, SC 29406
