Charles Millard Royall, 89, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Patricia Boles Royall, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 in the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lori. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:30 p.m. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Charles was born May 14, 1926 in Elkin, North Carolina, son of the late Millard Henderson Royall and the late Minnie Brown Royall. He served in the United States Navy and was a WWII veteran. He retired from civil service after working as an Electronics Equipment Specialist at NAVALEX. Charles was a ham radio operator, an avid golfer, fly fisherman and target shooter. He was a member of Hibben United Methodist Church.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Boles Royall and his wife, Lori, of Mount Pleasant, SC, Charles Michael Royall of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandson, William Jackson Pennington, IV, and his wife, Christine, of Batesville, Arkansas; granddaughter, Megan Royall Leblanc, and her husband, David, of Ladson, SC; great-grandson, Bryson Olivier Royall Leblanc of Ladson, SC; great-granddaughters, Lynleigh Elise Pennington, of Batesville, Arkansas, and Brielle Patri Leblanc, of Ladson, SC.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Hester R. Southard and Joyce R. Mathis; and four brothers, Joseph, Kenneth, and Edwin Royall, and Boyce Royal.
