Charles Louis Riecke

Entered into eternal rest Sunday morning March 20, 2011, Charles L. Riecke, III, husband of Patricia Campbell Riecke.  Residence, Johns Island, South Carolina.  The family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Riecke, III are invited to attend the funeral service of the former at Faith Lutheran Church, Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11am.  Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Wednesday, March 23 from 5 until 7 pm. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 3374 Maybank Highway, Johns Island, SC 29455.

Born March 16, 1932 in Charleston, South Carolina, Charles was the son of C. Louis Riecke, Jr. and Edna Hyer Riecke. He was a Broadcast Engineer and retired from the Medical University of South Carolina.  Mr. Riecke was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Johns Island, a veteran of the US Air Force and a former member of the Civil Air Patrol.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Campbell Riecke of Johns Island; 3 daughters: Cynthia R. Simpson of Johns Island, SC, Suzi R. Taylor and her husband Mike, their son, McKay of Ravenel, SC and Wendi R. Ammons and her husband Kevin, their daughter Mary Kenyon of Meggett, SC; a sister-in-law: Dawn Newland; a brother-in-law:  Mac Campbell and several nieces and nephews: Kimberly Billings, Tyler Kish, Christopher Newland, Kimberly Perry, and Denise Mower. He was preceded in death by his sister Sarah Riecke Cox.
