Charles Ray Smith, 72, of Hanahan, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 30, 2023. His funeral service will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 in the  J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Charlie was born August 31, 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina, a son of the late A. Ray  Smith and the late Loree Hutto Smith. He graduated from Murray Vocational School. He was formerly employed by Spivey's Electric, The Country Club of Charleston and Auto Supply and Equipment. Charlie loved watching old Westerns and spending time with his family. He was also a former member of First Baptist Church and attended Victory Baptist Church for many years.

He is survived by his sister, Reta S. Strozier (Bill) of Hanahan, SC; Nephew Brad Strozier (Trisha), his children Levi, Lucas, and Kinsey. Niece Wendy Pfoutz (Mike), her children Kaitlyn and Will.
