Charles Pyatt, 84, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Martha Pyatt, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 12, 2026. His Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 21, 2026 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to the service starting at 12:00 pm.

Charlie was born August 14, 1942 in Edwards, New York, son of the late Shirley Pyatt and Anna Mary Potkonski. Charlie was a retired Senior Chief Hospital Corpman in the United States Navy , served with the Fleet Marine Force (FMF). He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association 269, and the American Legion in Goose Creek, maintaining strong ties to the military community and to fellow veterans. Beyond his service to his country, he often enjoyed the outdoors, frequently fishing, and spending time at Short Stay. Charlie was also fond of sports, whether that was watching college football and rooting for the Carolina Gamecocks, or playing tennis and going bowling.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his son, Anthony Charles Pyatt of Goose Creek, SC; daughter, Michelle Marie (John) Owens of Goose Creek, SC; grandchild, Richard Andrew Drose; great-grandchildren, Ania, Michael, and Matthew; great-great-grandchild, Colette; uncle, Lionell Nicholas; and many loved nieces and nephews .

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Colt Mathew Droze and daughter in law Sally Pyatt
