Charles Harold Long III, 41, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 4, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021, in St. Johannes Lutheran Church, 48 Hasell Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, July 23, 2021, in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Charles was born November 1, 1979, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Charles Harold Long, Jr., and Judith Lubs Long. He attended First Baptist Church School and graduated from Middleton High School. He went to the College of Charleston, received two degrees from Trident Technical College, and was a graduate of The Citadel with a degree in business.

Charles worked in banking, investing and retail. He was a member of the Arion Society, the German Friendly Society of Charleston and St. Johannes Lutheran Church. He loved being a nanny for his infant niece and enjoyed her taking all of her naps on his shoulder.

Charles was an avid fan of all sports and most weekends he could be found glued to a TV set watching what ever sport was in season. As an adult, he played recreational soccer. He loved playing cards and games with his family. Charles also enjoyed surfing and wake boarding.

Charles is survived by his parents, both of Charleston, SC., as well as his sister, Amanda Long Robertson (Brandon), niece Stella Robertson and nephew Gage Robertson.
